Finished this beautiful piece today! Its created from a photo I took a bunch of years ago. Fabric, paint, ink and thread were used to make this piece. It measures 12″x12″ and is mounted on a 2″ deep frame to hang easily in your home. Below is a slide show of the process in creating this piece. I started this about 2 years ago for another competition which had the word converge as it’s theme.  Well, life happened and prevented me from completing it on time.
When I saw the verb definition of converge, it said something to the effect of…two or more people coming together for a common good.  That lead me to think of the world today and how there’s so much negativity towards another human due to the color of their skin, beliefs, or abilities.  God made all of us in his image. I am only a part of his image as is every other human on this planet.  (I choose God, you may say higher power, higher energy, etc.)
My point is that this world would be much more pleasant if we all accepted each other’s individualities.
This is not complete yet, and it will be completed by October 1. Â This will be entered into the AQS shows for 2020.
