Before Covid started, I was babysitting this wonderful family. One of the two children turned 3 yesterday (Shout out to the Birthday Boy!), and I made him this Fabric Doll Quilt. About three years ago, I made one for his older sister and he loves to play with his sister’s, so I made him a boy quilt for him.
This is the quilt totally done. The doll is felt quilted (sewn) onto the main quilt. The clothes (to the left) have the prickly side of velcro on one side so that they can adhere to the felt better. The quilt itself has two zipper pockets (top and bottom) that can house the clothes. This way everything is kept all in one place!
Here’s just a fun video of me quilting the quilt.
Thank you for reading my blog! Have a wonderful day!
I am an portrait art quilter. Using techniques such as appliqué, thread painting, and acrylic paints are my specialty. These add dimension and interest to my work.
